Wednesday, April 1 at 5:30 p.m. – As part of St. Louis University‘s Ninth Annual ATLAS Week (see <http://atlas.slu.edu> or call                314/977-3145         for more details), well-known rapper and former child soldier Emmanuel Jal will give the keynote address “From Child of War to a Voice for Peace” in the Wool Grand Ballroom of St. Louis University’s Busch Student Center, 212 No. Grand Blvd, St. Louis MO 63103. Seating is limited, so early arrival is recommended.

 

Monday, April 6 at 7:30 p.m. – As part of St. Louis University’s Ninth Annual ATLAS Week, Scott Simon of NPR will give the James C. Millstone Memorial Lecture “The Politics of Greed and Hope” in the lower level Xavier Grand Ballroom of the St. Francis Xavier Church, Grand Blvd. at Lindell Blvd.

 

Friday, May 1 – All-day lectures on the International Criminal Court at Webster University in Webster Groves as part of the American Exceptionalism & Human Rights Conference sponsored by Webster University’s College of Arts & Sciences, the UN Association of St. Louis, and the E. Saturday, May 2 – The 2009 Mary T. Hall Seminar of UNA-USA will feature Bruna Molina, former Registrar of the UN’s Human Rights Commission, discussing current developments in the area of international protection of human rights.
